Perugia – 2 Nights in a 4-Star Hotel
Enjoy two nights' accommodation at a 4-star hotel with breakfast included. Experience two private transfers, including a scenic transfer from Rome to Perugia with a stopover in Orvieto. Delight in a half-day tour to Gubbio, known as "the city of fools," and take in breathtaking views of the Umbrian hills from the panoramic Piazza Grande.

For an additional cost, customize your Umbria vacation with a visit to the renowned Perugina chocolate factory to learn about the chocolate-making process and indulge in tastings of their finest products.

Day 1 – ROME TO PERUGIA – Transfer and Orvieto
One of our local drivers will meet you at your accommodation in Rome or at the Rome central station. Travel in comfort in an air-conditioned vehicle for a private transfer to your centrally located hotel in Perugia, where you'll stay for 2 nights with breakfast included.

Your journey includes a 3-hour stopover in Etruscan Orvieto, renowned for its majestic Duomo, St. Patrick's Well, the Necropolis, and an underground labyrinth of caves, wells, and tunnels. Perched atop a volcanic butte, Orvieto is one of the most scenic hill towns on this Umbria tour. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore Perugia.

Day 2 – PERUGIA – Free Time in Perugia and Gubbio
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast and some free time in Perugia, the capital of Umbria. Wander the medieval streets of the Old Town, and be sure to capture a photo at Piazza IV Novembre in front of the ancient Fontana Maggiore, a square over 2500 years old! Stroll along Corso Vannucci, the town's main pedestrian route, and visit Augusta Perusia chocolaterie and pastry shop to savor local delights. If time permits, explore the underground Rocca Paolina, a 16th-century Papal fortress. At an extra cost you can select to include an English-speaking licensed city guide for a more in-depth experience.

In the afternoon, embark on a private half-day tour to Gubbio, known as "the city of fools" for the unpredictable nature of its inhabitants. Capture stunning views of the surrounding hills from the famous Piazza Grande, admire the Consuls Palace, the town's iconic symbol, and visit St. Ubaldo's tower house. Don't miss a stop at one of the ancient blacksmith shops, as Gubbio has been renowned for its ornamental ironwork for centuries. Your tour includes an English-speaking driver and a comfortable air-conditioned Mercedes vehicle.

Assisi – 1 Night in a 4-Star Hotel
Enjoy a one-night accommodation at a 4-star Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis, one private car transfer and a guided tour of Assisi, the UNESCO heritage site and birthplace of St. Francis.

Day 3 – PERUGIA TO ASSISI – Guided Tour of Assisi
On the third day of your Umbria vacation package, meet your driver in the lobby of your Perugia hotel. Enjoy a short 25-minute ride to Assisi, where you will stay for one night with breakfast included. The hotel will store your luggage until your room is ready in the afternoon.

Upon arrival, meet your English-speaking licensed guide for a private 2-hour tour of Assisi. Famous among pilgrims worldwide, this Umbrian hilltown beneath the summit of Monte Subasio will enchant you with its maze of medieval streets. Assisi, the birthplace of Saint Francis, one of Italy's patron saints, is home to the papal Basilica of St. Francis and the Basilica of Santa Chiara, dedicated to the founder of the Order of Poor Ladies. For stunning views of the surrounding hills, consider a climb to Rocca Maggiore.

The rest of the day is at your leisure. To enhance your Italy vacation package, you can opt for a wine tasting or a cooking class at a winery overlooking Assisi, available at an extra cost.

Spoleto – 1 Night in a 4-Star Hotel
Enjoy one night’s accommodation in Spoleto at a 4-star hotel with breakfast included. Experience a private transfer tour from Assisi to Spoleto, featuring a stopover in Spello, one of the most enchanting Umbrian villages. Continue with a visit to Montefalco, where you'll enjoy a full wine tasting at a local winery.

Day 4 – ASSISI TO SPOLETO – Spello, Montefalco and Spoleto
Enjoy a private car transfer from your hotel in Assisi to Spoleto, where you will stay for one night with breakfast included. Travel in an air-conditioned Mercedes (or similar vehicle) with an English-speaking driver.

Along the way, enjoy a stopover in Spello, the "capital of flowers." Each year, between May and June, Spello hosts the Flower Festival, covering the streets with a stunning "flower carpet." But this beautiful Umbrian “borgo” is worth visiting year-round, with its lower part still surrounded by Roman walls and three gates. Wander through the cobbled streets adorned with flowers at every corner, visit Enoteca Properzio wine shop and stock up on Spello's local chickpeas, "cicerchia," a staple of Umbrian cuisine.

Before arriving in Spoleto, stop in Montefalco for a tour of a local wine estate. Enjoy a winery visit and a full tasting of local labels, including Sagrantino, the region's most representative wine.

Upon arrival in Spoleto, check into your hotel and enjoy some free time to explore this fascinating Umbrian art town. Discover the city center, where traces of its Roman and Medieval heritage can still be found. Capture a photo in front of the Duomo and the Arch of Drusus and Germanicus. In the early evening, enjoy panoramic views of the hills and the impressive Ponte delle Torri bridge from the San Pietro area, linking the town to the Rocca Albornoziana fortress.

Day 5 – SPOLETO TO ROME – Cascate delle Marmore and drop-off in Rome
In the late morning, meet your English-speaking driver for a private transfer tour to Rome. Travel comfortably in an air-conditioned vehicle with a 2-hour stopover at Cascate delle Marmore in Nera River Park (entrance fees to be paid locally). This stunning waterfall, with a 165-meter drop, is the highest in Europe. Explore the falls via routes #2 or #3, the easiest paths, and experience the full spectacle when the water is released at specific times. Remember to bring a raincoat and a change of shoes for this memorable visit!

Your Umbria vacation concludes with a drop-off at your accommodation in Rome.
