It’s always lovely to get feedback from a customer, but even more amazing when someone takes the time to write about their experience and share some pictures of their trip.

Naturally there is an Italian wine for ever Beth Shapiro recently came to Italy, seeking culture, education, and a whole new experience. We spoke to her about her vacation to Italy and are delighted to share it with you now.

What Avventure Bellissime tour did you go on?

We came to Italy for a 14 day trip and toured Rome, Sorrento and Florence. Avventure Bellissime put together a semi-custom trip for us, which was great as it meant we could get exactly what we wanted.

Which tour guides did you have?

When we were in Rome, we had the lovely Francesca. Then Carmine in Pompeii; Katerina in Florence; and Eduardo in Tuscany.

Can you give us a quick summary of your trip and what you got up to?

Our journey started in Rome, where we stayed for four days. We spent two days with Francesca, visiting the Colosseum and surrounding antiquities, as well as a day in The Vatican.

After a few days in Rome, learning about the culture and history, we ventured on and took a train to Sorrento - with a stop-over tour of Pompeii with Carmine. We spent most of the time in Sorrento walking, shopping and eating.

Our next stop was Florence. After taking the train up, we spent four days there. Katerina took us to the Uffizzi Gallery and the Galleria dell’Accademia and we had a walking tour on our next day. Our final excursion was a full-day with Eduardo, visiting San Gimignano, Sienna and Monteriggioni.

What was your favourite place to visit?

Impossible to say! Sorrento took our hearts and Florence took our souls.

What is the best memory or story from your trip?

Again, impossible! Sorrento at sunset; the Roman fountains at night; walking anywhere at all in Florence; sitting in a cafè drinking a dark espresso! Oh, and the art!!!

What is the most memorable thing that your guide told you?

Our guides really personalized the trip for us. Francesca and Katerina have an extensive knowledge of history and art. They told us stories about every important artefact we saw. We loved the personal stories Francesca told us about Michelangelo, for instance, as well as the backstories about the churches of Florence that Katerina shared with us. Our heads are filled with wonderful stories that make up some of the history of Italy.

What would you say to someone about your experience with Avventure Bellissime?

Contact them and never look back! We would not change one single thing about this trip. Every guide, every hotel, every transfer, and tour was perfect. They truly arranged everything. The hotels they suggested were first class. It was a pleasure working with them.

We’d like to thank Beth for her kind words and we are delighted that she had such a fantastic time with Avventure Bellisime. If you would like to see what tours we could organise for you, then please just get in touch. We can’t wait to show you the wonders of Italy for yourself!
