11.10am TOUR OF THE DOGES PALACE WITH SKIP-THE-LINE TICKETS 2 hours
Learn about the Venetians unique form of government, the role of the Doge (the Duke of Venice), of the different councils and, among them, the notorious Council of Ten, who were created to maintain the security of the State. Cross the Bridge of Sighs, to see the prisons of the Doges Palace.

And while housing all the institutions inside its chambers that made Venice one of the most enlightened cities in the world, the Venetians themselves also adorned the Doges Palace with fabulous works of Art that will be discussed during your tour of the Doges Palace. Within its walls a fascinating story awaits you - learn how a city built in swamplands developed & maintained a Great Mercantile Empire and the longest running Republic in the history of the world.

2.30pm BEST OF VENICE WALKING TOUR WITH SKIP-THE-LINE TICKETS TO ST. MARK'S BASILICA 2 hours

In two glorious hours learn the history of Venice from its origins to the modern day as your Venice walking tour itinerary commences with a walking tour of St. Mark’s to admire & discuss its landmark monuments and to visit St. Mark’s Basilica. You can follow every word of your expert English-speaking Venice Tour Guide as you discuss all the major attractions that will include the Doge's Palace, Bridge of Sighs, Bell Tower & Clock Tower.
In the second part of the walking tour we'll leave the hordes of tourists behind in St. Mark's Square to explore a very different Venice. A Venice that's more fascinating and intimate, what we call the Hidden Venice. Main highlights will include Castello district, Campo Santa Maria Formosa, Ponte Paradiso bridge & Calle Paradiso, Salizada San Lio and many more. Enjoy this voyage of enlightenment through the labyrinth of back alleys and sleepy canals of the Hidden Venice to have a full introduction to Venice on one of our most popular city sightseeing tours. Limited to a maximum of 20 participants with complimentary headphones included.

All Tours meet at the entrance to the Royal Gardens on the waterfront of St. Mark’s Square. From St. Mark’s facing the Basilica turn right and walk towards the open water. At the two giant columns facing the water turn right, and following the line of trees after 100 metres you will come to the entrance of the Royal Gardens where we will be waiting holding a sign with tour name written on it

• To ensure safety and well-being of our guests the itinerary of the tour has been amended to follow the Covid-19 guidelines. Visits to St Mark's Basilica may be subject to restrictions. Depending on the situation on the day of the tour the itinerary may be amended to offer you the best experience possible.
• At times St Mark’s Basilica is closed due to high water or religious ceremonies. During high water the tour will take place, but it might happen we have to partly adapt the tour to the weather conditions. On those occasions when St Mark’s Basilica is open with high water, skip the line tickets will not be accepted as all visitors have only 1 door open to get in the church.
• Guaranteed skip-the-line entrance to St Mark's Basilica are available only from April to October (St Mark’s Basilica does not offer a fast entry service to anyone in other periods, considered off peak season).
• Shoulders and knees must be covered to enter St Mark's Basilica. Large bags are not allowed inside the Basilica.
• These tours are of historical areas and are not fully accessible for wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities. However, please contact us directly and we will be able to take you on alternative routes suitable for you.
• Please wear comfortable footwear as this tour involves a lot of walking.
• The cost of the tour does not include gratuities or hotel pick up and drop off.
