Day 1 - PALERMO
Get ready for your 7 days in Sicily starting in Palermo.
Upon your arrival at Palermo’s Airport, you’ll be met by one of our local drivers who will transfer you in an air-conditioned vehicle to your centrally located 4-star hotel where you will stay for 1 night or 2 nights on a bed & breakfast basis. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore Palermo on your own, or we can schedule a private walking tour of Palermo's highlights with a local English-speaking guide, showcasing the city's stunning architecture, vibrant food and unique culture
Day 2 - PALERMO
After breakfast, you'll embark on a private 4-hour walking tour of Palermo's historic center with one of our expert English-speaking guides. Discover the city's rich history and cultural heritage, visiting landmarks such as the Cathedral, Saint John of the Hermits Monastery, the Norman Palace, and more. Along the way, you'll also have the chance to sample some of Palermo's famous street food, such as arancine (stuffed rice balls), panelle (chickpea fritters), and cannoli (crispy pastry tubes filled with sweet ricotta cream).
In the afternoon, you can customize your itinerary with optional add-on tours, including a visit to the nearby town of Monreale to see its spectacular Norman Cathedral, a trip to the coastal village of Cefalù, a market and delicious food tour of Palermo to meet the locals and sample more of the city's culinary delights, or a cooking class where you can learn how to prepare traditional Sicilian fish dishes and desserts.
Day 3 - From PALERMO to SYRACUSE via AGRIGENTO
After breakfast, you'll check out of your Palermo hotel and take a private car transfer to Syracuse, with a stopover in Agrigento to visit the Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accompanied by one of our licensed expert guides, you'll explore the ancient Greek ruins and temples that date back to the 5th century BC, including the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Juno, and the Temple of Heracles. Entrance fees to the park are not included in the package price.
After touring Agrigento, you'll continue on to Syracuse, where you'll check in to your 4-star hotel for a two-night stay on a bed & breakfast basis. In the afternoon, you can explore the city on your own or take an optional add-on tour to the nearby town and castle of Noto, known for its stunning Baroque architecture and delicious almond sweets.
Day 4 - SIRACUSA
Today, you'll enjoy a private 4-hour walking tour of Syracuse with one of our expert English-speaking guides, discovering the city's fascinating history and architecture. Highlights of the tour include the Ortygia neighborhood, with its medieval buildings, Greek streets, and Baroque churches, as well as the Neapolis Archaeological Park, home to an archaeological museum and to some of the most important Greek and Roman monuments in the city.
In the afternoon, you can customize your itinerary with optional add-on tours, including a visit to the town of Modica, famous for its chocolate-making traditions, a trip to the hilltop town of Ragusa, or a visit to the charming fishing village of Marzamemi.
Day 5 - From SYRACUSE to TAORMINA
Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast, and then treat yourself to a luxurious private car transfer to the mesmerizing town of Taormina. Here, you'll be greeted with opulence and elegance as you step into your carefully selected 4-star hotel where you'll be staying for the next two nights. Your hotel offers top-notch amenities and services that cater to your every need, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay. Savor the stunning views of the town and relish in the comfort of your tastefully decorated room on a bed and breakfast basis. Take the rest of the day at your leisure, indulging in the delights that Taormina has to offer or just unwinding in the serene atmosphere of your hotel.
Day 6 - TAORMINA
Enjoy a leisurely day in Taormina and take advantage of the opportunity to explore this charming town at your own pace. You could stroll through the narrow streets, do some shopping in the local boutiques or simply relax on one of the sandy beaches all along the coastline. If you're feeling more adventurous, there are plenty of options to customize your trip and schedule an add-on day tour at an extra cost. For example, you could take a trip to Mount Etna, one of the world's most active volcanoes.
You can trek on one of the nature paths or upgrade to reach the volcano summit and explore the lava caves. Alternatively, you could take a Godfather Day Trip, visiting iconic locations from the famous movie. This tour is also available as a small group tour from Catania, depending on the days of your stay in Taormina.
Day 7 - From TAORMINA TO CATANIA / END OF THE VACATION PACKAGE
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to Taormina as one of our drivers takes you on a Private Car Transfer to Catania Airport for your departure flight.
