Our Original Venice Walk has been providing the perfect introduction to Venice since the last century. Tracing the history of Venice from its origins to modern times, the most popular of all Venice Tours features the famous landmarks of St. Marks Square combined with skip the line tickets for St. Marks Basilica and a delightful stroll through the enchanting Hidden Venice.

The first part of this Venice walking tours itinerary focuses on St. Mark's Square, including a visit to St. Mark's Basilica with skip the line tickets included in the price of the tour. You'll learn about the Doge's Palace (exterior only), Bell Tower, Clock Tower and the famous Bridge of sighs, as well as the other monuments of this beautiful square while enjoying an introduction to the history of Venice.

Then, escape the crowds, as the scond part of our Original Venice Walk explores the Hidden Venice. Enjoy a delightful stroll along narrow passageways, over delicate bridges and meandering canals following an itinerary littered with important monuments that illustrate that Venice is one giant open-air museum waiting to be discovered by the intrepid traveller.

As your eyes feast on the postcard images that abound in every direction, your guide will continue to narrate the story of the most unique city in the world. In the lively Campo Santa Maria Formosa, we'll discuss Venetian Architecture, Venetian Mercantile Empire.

Then, our tour continues through the back-streets of Venice to visit the Cannaregio district, where we'll admire the most beautiful well-head in Venice and the Pantheon of Venice (only exterior) where many important Venetians were laid to rest.

And, through the many important sights and in-depth historical narrations, you'll learn about illustrious Venetian characters like Marco Polo as well as more common citizens, that made this city of stone such a vibrant and magical place.

And, of course, we'll discuss modern day Venice, and what it's like to live in the most unique city in the world, though not always the most practical. Avventure Belllissime's Original Venice walking tours itinerary ends near the Rialto Bridge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. It was well organized and our guide was knowledgeable and took us to great areas of the city. She spoke slowly and precisely and made it easy for us to understand her.

We took a 2-hour Grand Canal Boat tour with a lovely lady, I believe her name is Cristi. She has long blond hair. Very engaging, informative and exuberant! It was just enough and covered all the highlights!
Would recommend the 8-person motor boat. We were 3 and I think there were 8 plus guide and captain all in all. A little tight with 5 up front!! But that's where we wanted to be. Thank you!

Our tour guide, Federica, was wonderful - she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was raised in Venice so her stories are from much experience. The tour was a perfect pace for both older and younger folks. Our two teens enjoyed it very much. and it was well-organized. I would highly recommend this tour and tour company!

Our tour was excellent! We toured on July 23, 2016. I forgot to write down our tour guide's name, but he is a 6'4", 27 year-old Venetian man. I would love to have his name. He was the perfect guide for our family of 5, including our children ages 18, 17 and 11. This was the last full day of our Italian vacation and the kids were reluctant to go. Our guide kept us all engaged and entertained with his humor, history lessons and stories of Venice. I highly recommend this guide for families. The kids loved it as much as the parents!

We (2 adults and 1 older teen) really enjoyed our tour on June 24th. It was a great introduction to the city. Barbara was a wonderful guide--very animated and her English was excellent. The radio headphones made it more relaxed--we didn't have to worry about jockeying for position near the guide in order to be able to hear everything.

This was by far the worst tour of our entire trip (we did one in Florence & one in Rome through this company). Our group was way too large for us to be able to enjoy touring this city. The streets are so narrow that you had to walk in a single file line through most of it and because there were 30 of us in this group, the second half of us couldn't hear our tour guide through the headphones when we were stretched into a line. I guess the range of the transmitter wasn't strong enough to reach the back half of us. Also, instead of explaining what we were about to see before we saw it (which would help for those of us in the back) she would discuss it as she got to it. So we would either not hear it at all because we were so far back, or if we heard it, it would take us another several minutes to get to the point where it was and we weren't sure what exactly she was talking about.

I understand that Venice is made up of very narrow and winding streets (which I love!) but knowing this, the company should not allow such large groups for these tours. It just doesn't make sense. At a maximum, there should have only been 15 people to a group, but would have been better with no more than 10. As much as I loved Venice, this tour was extremely disappointing and actually quite frustrating to be on. I wouldn't waste your money on the walking tour portion unless you know you will have a smaller group.

Our tour was great! I wish I could remember the name of our guide, he is 6'4 so that might help. He was excellent! Very educated, great mix of history with jokes and anecdotes. This tour is well worth it. You get all the basic history of Venice, St. Mark's square and Basilica, clock tower etc. Then you go down the back streets and learn more visiting places like Marco Polo's house. Would definitely use company and guide again!

The fact that she is extremely presentable did not hurt either.

We were so glad we booked this tour of Venice and recommend it to everyone who wants a short overview of the city and its history. Our guide was knowledgeable, fun and showed us the many sides of Venice. For several days after the tour, we were still commenting on what we learned and how it helped orient us to the alley-ways and quiet courtyards. Take this tour early in your visit and it will pay for itself over and over.

Our guide was Sabine, and she was excellent, with a very good knowledge of Venice and its architecture. We had read up about Venice before we came and thought we would not learn anything new, but how wrong we were. She also gave us most interestingly an overview of how Venice became so great, with the interaction of the different power bases. Well worth doing.
