Description

Our Venice Ghost Walking Tours feature a delightful sightseeing route through the Hidden Venice that provides the perfect stage upon which your guide will introduce you to Ghost Stories Legends from Venice's Past & Present. Stroll through narrow passageways, cross sleeping canals and abandoned piazza's (campi) to discover that Venice by night is a city of romance and mystery.

During our Venice Ghost Walk you'll hear six intriguing ghost stories that will bring a chill to the nights air. Throughout these 90-minute Venice Ghost Walking Tours your knowledgeable and entertaining guides will also entertain you with legends about Sea monsters & the Venetians themselves that will include the tale about Marco Polo's wife.

Mind your step, as you follow your guide on our Ghost Walking Tour of Venice as you don't want to wake the dead! We'll cross several  Ancient cemeteries hidden beneath the streets and campi of modern-day city of Venice.

And as you navigate the labyrinth of the Hidden Venice you'll see numerous architectural gems lost in the back-streets of Venice that include the famous Bovolo staircase. Built by a wealthy Venetian, at a time when Venetians still travelled around the city on horse-back, this elaborate staircase enabled the nobleman to ride his horse up to his private apartments.

On our Venice Ghost Walking Tours you'll explore a secret passage-way, one of the few remaining ones left in the city. The lover of a noble Venetian lady used this passageway to gain access to her private apartments without the knowledge of her husband (access subject to water-levels).

With stories of rat-infested prison cells that flooded during high tide, and a stroll along the "Calle dei Assassini" you'll enjoy our Venice Ghost Walk with many surprises along the way. The Tour ends close to the Rialto Bridge.

The tour was great fun and very interesting. The guide, Sergio I think, was very good at telling stories.

We recently went on the Venice Ghost Tour (Friday before last I think?) during our honeymoon and it was certainly the best thing we did in Venice! Out Host was wonderful! I can’t remember her name, but she looked a lot like Cameron Diaz so that should narrow it down. We recommended it to everyone we spoke to heading to Venice for the rest of our trip!

Excellent job! - kept up a good pace, good stories and handled talkative attendees well. No better way to see Venice.

My husband and I decided to go on this tour last minute while we were in Venice and it was great! The guide knew so many stories about Venice and was a ton of fun! Our hotel happened to be the first stop on the tour (haha) but it was still a great time!

We really enjoyed the ghost tour in Venice we took recently (9/2015). It was so fun for our daughter. It gave her a great awareness of locations in the city that we would visit again the next day while strolling around the streets. I would definitely recommend booking ahead because the tour was full even in late September.
Our guide was very personable and spoke excellent English. She made the experience very special for our daughter. It's a little macabre, but every time we were on the Grand Canal for the rest of our stay she would ask for us to point out the places where the ghosts lived!

Fantastic tour! All of us had a wonderful time. It was less "scary" and more history-oriented which we loved. We would recommend this tour and Avventure Bellissime to anyone visiting Italy.
Thanks so much!

Our guide, Francesco, led us through dark alleys and narrow streets with stories of
Venetian murder, and mayhem and intrigue. Great way to see a different side of the
city's history. Lots of fun and informative.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guide was clear and engaging and ensured she walked to the pace of the group. We explored some areas that we wouldn't have found just from walking around and found out some interesting and entertaining facts about the history of Venice along the way. Would highly recommend it!

Had a super amazing time with Cristina on the Original Venice Ghost and Legends Walking Tours on the 15th November 2014. Me and a friend from London decided to book this tour on our last (rainy) day while we were staying in Murano, as we so love to hear about the gory stories in haunted Venice.

Cristina had so much energy, and was very informative. We got to see some interesting locations which we would not have seen otherwise, and the rain made it more effective with the whole experience.

Took Cristina's advise and took a look on You Tube regarding Poveglia (haunted) Island - Spooky!!!

Recently, I took two tours with you – the Ghost and Legends Tour with Cristina and the Hidden Venice Tour with Fiona. Both were exceptional. Both tour guides were very interesting, engaging, and very knowledgeable.
The Ghost and Legends Tour was quite fun with Cristina having a great sense of humor. Fiona was a fountain of very interesting information on history, art, and architecture. I would highly recommend these tours to other visitors to Venice.
I had already been in Venice for several days when I took these tours, and I had already done a lot of walking around, but I learned and could appreciate so much more with the information they provided.

I always see if there are ghost walks in the cities I visit. They are usually fun and you get some history with the stories. I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Our guide was a great story teller and it was a fun way to wander through the little streets of Venice.

The tour did not live up to the expectations. There were not many ghost stories on the tour more stories about people getting killed. We paid for a two hours tour but our tour was only 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Dear Jorn ,

Thank you for your feedback - I'm very sorry you were not very happy with our tour - We've been operating this tour for quite a while now , and the itinerary and stories generally meets clients appreciation - In regards to the duration , I think you got confused with some other tour as our tour lasts 1,5 hrs , as specified in our literature . Yours sincerely , Monica

Very nice. It was scary in the beginning but after a while it became more a way to know the main streets of venice at night. I recommend it, there are some secrets being revealed.

Tour was great very informative, guide was great she knew her history! We have been trying to tour the casino, which she said could be done for a small fee, but as of yet no luck. On the other hand we have been back to the bovolo stair case, it's an amazing place! Thank you.
